Evygen

Will it work with your EV?

Pick your make and model. We will tell you which charger suits it, how fast it will actually charge, and whether your home supply can deliver it, before you spend anything. 60 models across 22 makes.

Nearly every EV sold in Australia today uses the Type 2 inlet our chargers use. A few older models do not, which is exactly why this check exists.

Range per hour assumes 16 kWh per 100 km. Real figures vary with the car, the weather and how full the battery already is. Vehicle charging specifications are being confirmed with the manufacturer; we verify yours on the call before anything is booked.

What the check actually looks at

01

The inlet on your car

Type 2 is the Australian standard and plugs straight in. A few older imports are Type 1 and need a different lead, which is the one case worth catching before you order.

02

What your car can actually take

A charger cannot push more than the car will accept. We use your model’s on-board AC limit, not the charger’s headline number, so the rate you see is the rate you would get.

03

What your home can deliver

Three-phase only helps if your car and your switchboard both support it. We tell you which of the two is the limit before an electrician is ever booked.
