Every Tesla inlet is Type 2

Tesla home charging questions

The things Tesla owners ask us most, answered straight.

How much does it cost to install a home charger for a Tesla?

Every Evygen install is one fixed price, set before anything is booked: the electrician assesses your switchboard and cable run on the verification call, and that price covers the whole job. No hourly rates, no surprise add-ons.

How long does it take to charge a Tesla at home?

Model 3 and Model Y draw up to 11 kW on three-phase, gaining up to 69 km of range per hour from the NEO, so an overnight session is more than a full charge. On single-phase, expect up to 44 km per hour from the 7 kW NEO, still a comfortable overnight charge.

Will a NEO work with every Tesla model?

Yes. Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X sold in Australia all use the same Type 2 inlet the NEO tethered cable plugs into. No adaptor, no special hardware.
